He was the President of U.S. Bolt Manufacturing, Inc. He was the Secretary of the Alvin RC Modelers Association. He had many hobbies that he enjoyed some of which were fishing, hunting, building and flying his model airplanes. He enjoyed his last eight years being retired and spending time with his family and friends. Some of his fondest memories were traveling to multiple Sandals Resorts with Mary and their friends, attending Evan’s soccer games, cheering on Emma at her dance performances, watching Madison cheerleading at Evan’s football games, rooting on Aubrey at her cross country and track meets, watching Reid at PVHS football games, cheering on Turner at his baseball and football games, traveling to visit Angela, Clay and the kids in California, cheering on the Trojans, enjoying Trevor’s amazing cooking, fishing on the lake, booze cruise rides with Mary, pulling the kids behind the boat, stopping by Ashley and Trevor’s house anytime he could and most of all just being the amazing man that we all knew and loved.
TJ was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mary Elizabeth, father, James T. Johnson, and his brother in law, John Kilpatrick. Survivors are his wife, Mary of Missouri City, TX; daughters, Angela Helton and husband, Clay of Palos Verdes, CA and Ashley White and husband, Trevor of Missouri City, TX; six beautiful grandchildren, Reid Helton, Aubrey Helton, Turner Helton, Emma White, Madison White and Evan White. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Melody Kilpatrick of Deer Park, TX and his niece, Courtney Kilpatrick of Pearland, TX.
Visitation will take place at 2:00 pm., followed with the Funeral Service beginning at 3:00 pm, at The Settegst-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek, in The Morrow Chapel, with Celebrant, Reverend Ed (Eddie) Platt. Following the service there will be a reception from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm in The Family Events Hall; Monday, June 21, 2021; 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of TJ to the American Heart Association.
