NORMA JEAN CHAMBERS JACOBS, age 81, of Missouri City, Texas, passed away Monday, October 15, 2012. She was born October 21, 1930, in Houston, to Wilford and Naomi Ferguson Parker. Norma was very witty, fun, beautiful, and smart. Her interests included painting, fishing, and making flower arrangements. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Robert Allen Jacobs. Norma is survived by her son, Jack K. Chambers, Jr. and his wife Carol; daughters, Barbara Jean Barbin and her husband Billie, Jackie Chambers Kilpatrick, and Cathy Jacobs Harwell and her husband Dane; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit), with the Rev. M. Eugene Vickrey, officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Norma’s memory be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 4550 Post Oak Place Dr., Houston, TX 77027.
