She enjoyed referring to herself as a Maniac in conversations.Nancy lost both of her parents at an early age. When she was of age she traveled to Scotland for her studies and eventually graduated with a degree in Geology. Nancy worked for Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX. for a few years before moving to Sugar Land where she started her career as a computer programer and where she finished her career.
Nancy practiced Celtic dance while in Scotland and she enjoyed teaching other how to perform them. She also delighted in attending local renaissance festivals whenever possible. She loved being outside enjoying nature with all its beauty and serenity. Her lifelong passion was her art, she began painting in the late 60s and continued until her passing. Nancy was an active member of the Art League of Fort Bend for many years and has sold some of her beautiful paintings. Nancy was a fantastic painter and enjoyed painting nature scenes and beautiful flowers. Nancy loved traveling with her artist friends to the Wenmohs Ranch "Bunkhouse" located in the hill country west of Austin, TX. When there she would work on art projects, sharpen her artistic skills and indulged in fun activities such as "Duck Races" which she delighted in telling everyone about.
Nancy loved to travel with her friends to Maine to show them the sights, take pictures, eat seafood and especially enjoyed the Bar Harbor and Cadillac mountain area. Friends who knew Nancy knew she was a planner and would have all their travels arranged so they could see all the sights and not miss a thing.
Nancy is survived by her brother Darrell Lee Sr. and his wife Sharon of San Diego, CA and their children Darrell Lee Jr, and his wife Kathy along with their children DJ and Alexa Jordon of San Diego, CA. Nieces: Mary Lee and Chelsea Lee Rustek and her husband Jon and their children JP and Liam of FL. Nephew Charlie Lee, his wife Dagmara Gutorski and their children Owen and Gracie of FL. Nephew Scott Lee and his wife Katie Luc Lee of FL, as well as many cousins and countless dear friends.
A celebration of life for Nancy will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478, followed by a reception from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
