Lauren Elise Popeney went to be in the arms of her heavenly Father on Feb. 4, 2021. Lauren was born on October 13, 1992 in Sugar Land, Texas, to Charles and Wafa Popeney and was a loving big sister to Sarah.
Lauren graduated from Clements High School in 2011. She was proud of her Arabic ancestry and passionate about her Catholic faith. She desired world peace, and took great pride in the fact that both her parents are doctors. Her favorite hobbies included ceramics, blending unique colors, vegetable gardening, eating good food, and praying. Lauren was always smiling, and she insisted on a healthy lifestyle. Lauren was defined by her faith, and touched all of those who were fortunate enough to know her, during the 28 miraculous years she spent here on Earth.
A visitation is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 8 from 3:30-6:30 at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek with a rosary/vigil at 6:30. The funeral mass will take place at 10 am Tuesday, Feb. 9 at St. Laurence Catholic Church in Sugar Land.
