I hadn't heard that Karen had passed away until we received a donation in her memory. I met Karen when she picked up a dog from me to foster for DREAM Dachshund Rescue.  Such a lovely lady.  She reached out to us in March wanting to foster another dog, but due to COVID-19,  we weren't taking in many new dogs, so we didn't have one for her to foster at that time.  It saddens me that she didn't get to foster for us again.   DREAM extends our sincerest condolences to Karen's dad, other family members, and friends.  I truly believe there's a special place in heaven for animal lovers and rescuers, and that's where Karen is now.

Jessica, your mother will forever hold a special place in my heart.  All of the memories from the girl's cheerleading  and mine and Mom's mutual love of longgggg dogs will never be forgotten.   Her warm hugs and I love you's everytime we saw her always warmed my heart and lifted me up.   You and all of the family are in my thoughts and prayers during this time.   I'm just a phone call away and ready with a shoulder.   I love you all to the moon and back!

Was so saddened to read of Karen's passing on the Alumni page for Spring Woods '70.  Karen lived down the street as we were growing up. I can remember many of the times we were together playing, sharing stories and various school activities. Too bad 2020 brought us Covid, and our 50th reunion had to be cancelled, or we might have had one last visit. May the Lord bless your family members with peace and comfort. Your will be missed greatly!

Although I hadn’t seen Karen in a few years, I will always remember our friendship when she and her Jessie lived in Georgetown.  Sweet memories of our daughters with the same name   growing up together. My thoughts and condolences to the entire family. Your mom was such a sweet soul and I know she will remain in your hearts forever.

I remember all the times we got together with the girls-Jessica and Lexie. There was always an open door and a smile waiting. We spent lots of time talking about and worrying over those two, but they sure turned out well. 

I am so saddened to hear of Karen’s passing. We worked at Capital together and travelled on several business trips together.  And we were neighbors for a while,. I have only fond  and fun memories of our time together. One was when we were traveling. Hotels had just begun having radio alarm clocks in the rooms. We were rooming together. Karen asked for a wake up call from front desk and set the alarm on the radio. The next morning when we got the call Karen reached over to turn alarm off. When it didn’t stop ringing she sat up in bed and picked up the radio and was almost beating it to turn it off. The phone was still ringing. I was laughing so hard i couldn’t tell her to pick up the phone, We talked about that forever. Thanks for the memories sweet Ksren.❤️
