Joseph L. DeRubba, 79, passed away peacefully in his home on November 4, 2011. Joe was born in the Bronx to Regina Woftusiak DeRubba and Emanuel V. DeRubba on August 23, 1932. He retired from Con Edison after forty years of service. Joe was an active member of the Montebello, Suffern, Ramapo, Torne Valley, and Clark Center Seniors. He also was a member of Sons of Italy, Vincent Linguanti Lodge and the Suffern VFW Post 2973. He is survived by his wife, Ellen; sons, Vincent and Stephen; daughter, Annemarie; granddaughters, Christine DeRubba and Melissa Esposito; and grandsons, Matthew DeRubba and Michael Esposito. Joe will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home on Monday, November 7th from 7-9 PM and on Tuesday, November 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM with an Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
