Francis J. O'Connor of Wesley Hills, NY. Died February 1, 2012 at age 84. Known to many as "Frank the Marine", he was born on May 12, 1927 in New York City. He was the beloved husband of 47 years of Ann Lovett and the dear brother of Joan O'Connor O'Grady and the late Dolores O'Connor. He was educated at Cardinal Hayes H.S. and Fordham University Business and Law School. Frank joined the Marines in 1945. His Marine adventures included service in both China and Korea. He retired from the Marine Reserves as a Lt. Colonel in 1987. He retired from the NYPD as a Detective Lieutenant after 38 years of service. He was an honest and honorable man. "Good Night Sweet Prince". Viewing Saturday 9am at St. Boniface Church in Wesley Hills followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am. Interment at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, NY.
