Dorey Lum

Dorey Lum of Suffern, NY, died January 20, 2017 at age 86. He was born August 28, 1930 in New York City to Mae and Lum Fong. He was a research chemist who authored a book and a number of articles, held several patents and was an avid golfer and accomplished bridge player. He was a member of the American Chemical Society, the American Legion and the Montebello Seniors. Dorey is survived by his beloved wife Jean H. Lum (Jeanne), loving children Dale Lum (wife Nicole) and Stacey Lum, cherished grandchildren Alexandra, Tyler, Colton, Logan and Kyra, sister Audrey Lum (husband Gifford) and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2-6 pm, Sunday, January 29, at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern. Church service will be at 11 am, Monday, January 30, at First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey. Interment will be private. Donations in his name can be made to First Presbyterian Church of Ramsey.
