Daniel William Powers, age 50, of Suffern, New York passed away on Monday, October 16, 2023. Daniel William Powers of Suffern, NY passed away on October 16, 2023 at the age of 50. Daniel was the life of the party and always a happy , joyful person. Daniel was born to Virginia (Lee) Powers and the late Edward Joseph Powers on January 25, 1973 in Brooklyn, NY. He was a FDNY FireFighter for 26 years,with Engine Company 250 out of Brooklyn, NY. Dan loved fishing and hunting and spending time with family

Daniel was predeceased by his beloved wife of 25 years, Christine Ann Powers nee Plinski in October 2022.

Daniel is survived by his loving daughter Callie Powers, son Daniel Powers, Jr and his mother Virginia Powers. He is also survived by his siblings Edward Powers (Jennifer), Joseph Powers (Dianora), Thomas Powers, Kathleen Flores, and Jean Ann Brown (Darrell) and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 7-9PM and also on Sunday, October 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 47 Island Rd, Mahwah, NJ 07430 with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ.
