Richard Mark Lombardi

Richard Mark Lombardi, 54, of Stow, MA passed away December 19, 2015 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. He enjoyed 17 years of marriage to the late Johanna (Le Poole) Lombardi. Richard was born in New Haven, CT on April 5, 1961 and is predeceased by his parents Rudolph and Anna Marie Lombardi. He graduated from Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge, CT and Northeastern University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Richard enjoyed a long and successful career with Engineering Planning and Management, Inc. He was well traveled, an avid golfer, and pilot. Richard spoke fondly of his home “Wee Loch Cottage” on Lake Boon where he met lifelong friends and made many great memories. He is survived by his loving siblings; his sisters Karen Lombardi of Milford, CT, Lisa Keeley (Michael) of Weathersfield, VT, and his brother Michael (Susan) Lombardi of Wallingford, CT. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, Nicholas (Victoria) Lombardi of Wallingford, CT, Michael Jr. (Paige) Lombardi of Boston, MA, Samantha Lombardi of Boston, MA, Alex and Patrick Keeley of Weathersfield, VT, and his great niece Ava Lombardi of Wallingford, CT. Richard is also survived by his Shetland Sheepdog, Wings, who he cared for deeply. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, January 3rd from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Duckett-J.S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road, Rt. 20, Sudbury, MA 01776. In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard’s memory should be directed to The Collings Foundation, payable to “Collings Foundation, in Memory of Richard Lombardi,” PO Box 248, Stow, MA 01775. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
