Maureen Ellen Hynes, 69, of Sudbury, Massachusetts, beloved wife of Edward G. Brouse, Jr. (Ted), died peacefully on Friday November 5th, 2021, surrounded by the love and care of her friends and family, following a prolonged illness. Maureen was the devoted mother of Allison and Armond Faris of Baltimore, Maryland, Meghan and Andrew Barry of Watertown, Massachusetts, James and Sinead Binder of Rochester, Massachusetts, Molly Binder of Boston, Massachusetts, and William and Bliss Binder of Beaufort, South Carolina. She was the dear sister of Mary Beth Hynes of Tallahassee, Florida, Eileen Hynes-Hoffman of Seattle, Washington, Christine Hynes-Mumford of Seattle, Washington and Brian Hynes of Bronx, New York. Maureen, affectionately known as GrandMo, is also survived by her five grandchildren: Nathaniel and Sydney Faris of Baltimore, Maryland, and Seamus, Patrick and Dillon Binder of Rochester, Massachusetts. Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Mary Hynes, of Short Hills, New Jersey.
Originally from Short Hills, New Jersey, Maureen lived in Sudbury for 35 years. She spent her career at several pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the Boston area. Maureen graduated from Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child in Summit, New Jersey and Sweet Briar College in Virginia. Maureen fostered lasting friendships with many throughout her life. Always quick to laugh, she had a unique ability to find humor even under trying circumstances. Maureen was loved by so many; her spirit and infectious laughter will be dearly missed.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, November 9th, 2021 from 4pm - 7pm at Duckett Funeral Home in Sudbury. There will be a family-only service on Wednesday November 10th, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church in Sudbury. Following the service, the family welcomes all to join them for a celebration of Maureen’s life at Conrad’s Restaurant in Sudbury at 12pm. Maureen will be laid to rest on Friday, November 12th, 2021, at 9 am at Beechwood Cemetery in Centerville, MA, all are welcome to attend.
