Mary J. Moniz

Mary J. (Menelly) Moniz, Longtime resident of Sudbury, died Friday September 20, she was 91. A daughter of the late Ernest and Concetta (Badessa) Menelly, she was the beloved wife of the late Manuel D. Moniz. Mary was also the devoted Mother of Mary Ellen Babcock and her husband Ralph of Sudbury, Linda Flannery and her husband Edward of Hudson, and the late Joseph Moniz and his wife Donna of Marlborough; Cherished Grandmother of Ralph Babcock and his wife Kimberly of Sudbury, Christine Kapopoulos and her husband Steven of Maynard, Joseph Moniz of Marlborough, Lori DeWolfe and her husband Brian of Stow, Jason Flannery and his wife Jessica of Auburn, and Susan Rosefsky and her husband Jeff of NC; and the loving Great-Grandmother of 10. Mary is also survived by her brothers Russell and Henry Menelly of Newton, and Ernest Menelly of FLA, as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 26, at 10 A.M. from the Duckett –J.S. Waterman and Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road, (Rt. 20) SUDBURY; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 o’clock at Our Lady Of Fatima Church, 160 Concord Road, Sudbury; Interment will be in Wadsworth Cemetery, Sudbury. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, relatives and friends are kindly invited.
