Helen Marie (Miller) Campbell, 75, of Staunton, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Campbell was born on August 12, 1946 in Brownsburg, and was a daughter of the late Edgar Wallace and Virginia (Lee) Miller. Helen owned and operated G.R. Campbell Trucking with her husband for more than 25 years. She was a longtime member of the Victory Baptist Church in Staunton. Mrs. Campbell enjoyed shopping and tending to her flower gardens. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many who will greatly miss her. On December 3, 1960 she married Glennie Ray Campbell who preceded her in death on May 11, 2017. Mrs. Campbell is survived by her children, Ricky Campbell and wife Cindy of Stuarts Draft, Glenn Campbell and wife Lynn of Staunton, Tony Campbell and wife Sylvia of Staunton, Sherry Hatter and husband Timmy of Stuarts Draft; siblings, Frances Doyle of Greenville, Richard Miller and wife Barbara of Swoope, Bobby Miller of Waynesboro; ten grandchildren, Brandon Campbell and wife Lauren, Cody Campbell and wife Samantha, Kelsey Fortin and husband Nick, Katelin Campbell, Michael Wayne Campbell, Keyrsten Campbell, Kaylee Campbell, Karter Campbell, Karsyn Campbell, Kaedin Hatter; great-grandchildren, Ascher, Avonlea, and their mother Kristin Campbell, surviving wife of Joshua Campbell, Jase, Willow, Peyton, Carly, Lettie Ann; sisters in law, Teenie Campbell, Geneva Campbell, Ellen Mae Connor and husband Albert; very special friend, Lucy Smith; and her caregiver, Kim Simmons. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Campbell; and brothers, Hollis Miller, Edgar Wallace Miller Jr., and Ralph Miller. The funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday May 26, 2022 at Victory Baptist Church near Staunton with Pastor Rader Ogden officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery in Stuarts Draft. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a sincere THANK YOU to the staff of Hospice of the Shenandoah for their care and compassion during Mrs. Campbell’s illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to the Riverheads Volunteer Fire Department, 49 Swartzel Shop Rd., Staunton, VA 24401.
