Mrs. Rohl was born and raised on a farm in Bald Knob, Arkansas, and after moving around the country some, settled in Cincinnati. Irell, along with her late husband, Davis permanently settled in Hobe Sound in 1978, and were the owners of Del Mar Realty.
Mrs. Rohl (and her late husband Davis) played an instrumental part in the development of Hobe Sound. Irell was the initial broker of record for Del Mar Realty. Through Del Mar, Irell and Dave were able to develop many new neighborhoods in Hobe Sound area and donated part of the land where the Hobe Sound Library is now located. A street was named in honor of their contributions to Hobe Sound (SE Rohl Way).
She is survived her sons, Joel (Lou) Allingham of Palm City, FL; James (Eran) Rohl of Ponte Verde Beach, FL, and Robert (Starla) Rohl of Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mrs. Rohl is also survived by her brother, Jim, sister, Lavonne, and her dear four legged companion, Tyler.
She is predeceased by her husband, Davis V. Rohl, her son, Rand Allingham, MD, and her sister, Doris.
Mrs. Rohl’s Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on January 19, 2019 from 10:30AM to 11:00AM with a Memorial service to begin at 11:00AM at Aycock Funeral Home, Young and Prill Chapel in South Stuart. A reception will follow at The Soundings in Hobe Sound, FL.
