Dolores Zarro

Age 92, born on July 22, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA, passed away on October 13, 2024.

She was predeceased in 2015 by her beloved husband Joseph A. Zarro after 61 years of marriage.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Joanne Zarro Jones (Drew), Christina Zarro and her son, Pasquale Zarro and her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Dolores was a dedicated mother and wife who cherished her family. She will be remembered for her kind and giving nature. She was full of life and was loved by everyone who knew her. She had a genuine interest and love for everyone she met. Her passion for cooking and dancing will be forever cherished.

Upon her husband Joe’s retirement in 1982, they moved to Hobe Sound and became very involved in Saint Christopher Catholic Church. The most important thing to Dolores, after her family, was her love and devotion to her Heavenly Father. She dedicated her time to serving St. Christopher Church in many different capacities. She was the store manager of the St. Vincent De Paul thrift store for decades and served as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteer in many other ministries.

Dolores was a woman like no other; a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who always had time for others. She will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16 at Aycock Funeral Home, 6801 SE Federal Highway Stuart FL 34997 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 17 at 10:30 at St. Christopher Church located at 12001 SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dolores’s name to St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Hobe Sound, Florida.
