April moved to Stuart, Florida, in 1950 and was a proud member of the first graduating class from the new high school on Kanner Highway. In 1968, she married her beloved husband, Dennis Freese, with whom she shared 56 wonderful years. April's love for Dennis was unwavering, and together they built a beautiful life.
She is survived by her two cherished sons, Nicholas Scott and Michael Brent. Nicholas, her "Mr. Fixit" from a young age, is the Vice President and COO at Sands Construction Company. Michael, her exceptional chef, delights many as the Food and Beverage Director at Discovery Commons of Hobe Sound. April was adored by her daughters-in-law, Amy (Nick) and Paige (Mike), who always felt like her own daughters.
Her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Lilly (16), Cooper (14), and Palmer (3 months), whose births she claimed were the best memories of her life.
April dedicated 46 years of her life to the Jupiter Island Club as the Reservations Manager. Starting out under Mrs. Permelia Reed's mentorship, April's exceptional visual perception and understanding of procedures soon earned her the responsibility of managing the reservation system. Mr. Nathaniel Reed once praised her stating “April Freese cannot be matched”, a sentiment wholeheartedly echoed by her family.
April was known for her selfless, caring and kind nature, never angered and always sharing love with those around her. Her gentle spirit and warmth touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held at Fernhill Memorial Gardens, 1501 S Kanner Hwy, Stuart, on Friday, December 6th at 11am.
Rest in peace, April. Your loving heart and beautiful soul will forever be remembered.
