Andrew J. "Swens" Swenson

Born in Stuart, Florida, Swens graduated from Jensen Beach High School and was attending The University of North Florida, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity.

Swens was a fierce Lacrosse player while playing for Jensen Beach High School and Stampede’s Travel Lacrosse team for four years; his positive spirit and fearless playing ability on the field will always be remembered. Swens loved anything having to do with the water, including fishing and going to the beach.

He also loved to go four wheeling with his friends, and had an awesome smile and laugh that could light up any room. In his own words, Swens truly lived “making every moment as if it’s his last”.

Swens is survived by his mother, Lori (Jimmi) Mort of Stuart, FL; father, Troy Swenson of West Palm Beach, FL; brother, Dylan James (Jaimee) DeLoach of Jacksonville, FL; nephew, Jackson DeLoach of Jacksonville, FL; grandfather, Chuck Swenson of Wisconsin; uncle, David (Kim) Higgins of Stuart, FL; aunt, Tammy Swenson of Augusta, GA; cousins, Chase and Taylor Higgins of Stuart, FL; many fraternity brothers, and numerous other family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Darline, Thomas, and Connie.

A celebration of Swens’ life will be held Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 2:00-5:00PM with a memorial service beginning at 2:30 PM at Indian Riverside Park in Jensen Beach, FL.
