Joan M. Coffey

Joan Coffey passed away on December 2, 2013. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 11, 1926 to Anne (Harrington) and Joseph King. Joan was a Rockland resident for many years, moving to Garnerville in 1957. She was devoted to her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Coffey in 1986 and by her daughter, Joan Coffey O'Connor in 1988. She is survived by her sons, Richard Coffey and his wife Donna, and John Coffey and his wife Kristine; daughters, Anne Coffey Rose and Katherine Coffey Dugan and her husband Michael; 15 grandchildren, Kristin Hirst, Matthew O'Connor, Kenny Rose, Katie McDermott, Allison Feriola, Sean Coffey, Patrick O'Connor, Brian O'Connor, Caitlin Coffey, Elizabeth Dugan, Michael Dugan, John Dugan, Michael Coffey, Ryan Coffey and Conor Coffey; and 7 great-grandchildren, Meghann, Ava, Emma, Joanie, Trevor, Avery and Brielle.Family will receive visitors at Michael Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point, NY on Thursday from 6-9pm. A funeral mass will take place on Friday at 10am at St. Gregory's Church.
