Maria Guadalupe Womack

Maria Guadalupe Womack, age 47, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 24th surrounded by her family. She was a deeply loved sister and mother of two. She was born on 3/12/1970 to her late mother Ida Cisneros and father Paul Aguilar. Maria grew up and lived in Stockton, California where she met the love of her life, Trevor Womack, at 16. They married in 1993 and together raised two children, Marissa and Trevor Jr. In 1997, she earned her nursing degree and began her career, which spanned 20 years and three hospitals, primarily as a registered nurse in the intensive care unit. Maria loved her job; she was passionate about mentoring and leading others in her field. In 2015 she graduated from the Chamberlain College of Nursing with a Bachelor’s of Science, an accomplishment that she and her family were extremely proud of.

Maria loved spending time with her children, chatting it up with her friends, hanging out with her dog, and going on day trips to find all the best restaurants around. All who remember Maria, remember her by her contagious, beautiful and magnetic laughter. She was hilarious, gentle and strong; a true friend and amazing mother who loved fiercely. She is survived by her two children Marissa (24) and Trevor Jr. (19); the father of her children Trevor Womack; her father Paul Aguilar; her brother Rufino Flores; her sisters Kathy Mendez-Schut and Tina Nelson; her faithful dog Sophie; and many, many…many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 from 1pm-2pm at De Young Memorial Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive.
