Joyce Y. Grubbs, 75, of Stockton, California passed away on August 15, 2017. Joyce was born in Texas on June 10, 1942. She graduated from Oroville High School in 1960 and continued on to a career in banking. Joyce was married to Merlyn P. Grubbs on October 6, 1973, they were married 44 years. She began her career with Bank of America as a teller and worked her way up to the much respected positions of loan officer and assistant branch manager. Joyce also enjoyed positions with the SBA of San Joaquin County and F&M Bank as a loan officer. Joyce is survived by her husband Merlyn Grubbs, her son Paul Blakemore and her daughter Shan (Kevin) Bohatch. Joyce is also survived by 8 wonderful grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at DeYoung Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 31st at 11 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Stockton Animal Shelter.
