David Earl McNair

David attended Garfield Elementary School, Hamilton Middle School, and graduated from Edison High School in 1977. He also attended Delta Community College where he studied auto mechanic. He also served in the United States Navy.

David worked at Sears Roebuck as a truck driver for 25 years. He worked at Moore Spring Service, K & M New Life Group Home, and Violet Manor Care Home. He loved working on cars and was a local auto mechanic to many family members and friends. He also loved children. Him and his wife opened their home to children and became foster parents.

David accepted Christ at a young age. He attended Clemmons Chapel, Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, and God’s Throne Bap􀆟st Church for over 50 years. He was a minister under the leadership of Pastor Emeritus, Reverend Doctor Zacchaeus Dunham, Sr., and Pastor Timothy Dunham, Sr. Reverend Dave as everyone at GT called him was faithful to the ministry of the church until his health began to fail.

David was proceeded in death by his wife Justine McNair, son Mariano McNair, father Ellis McNair, his mother Charlie Mae Martin, stepfather McDouglas Martin, Sr, grandmother Mattie Mae York, and grandfathers Elmore York and Handy Moore. His brothers Glen and Antione Martin, his niece Inisha Burrell, uncles Jerry Moore, Sr., and Willie McNair, aunties Ruby Robinson, Joyce Kelly, Katie McNair, Sadie McNair, Estella McNair, and Mary Ann McNair.

He leaves to cherish his sons Quentin Spain and Ian McNair of Sacramento, CA and Leon Perkins of Stockton, CA. His daughter Taniesha Martinez of Elk Grove, CA. His grandsons Christian McAmis and Justin Spain of Sacramento, CA. His brothers McDouglas Martin, Jr. (Trashal) and Chauncy Martin of Stockton, CA. His sisters Kathleen Nelson (Tony), Dianna Martin, Leslie Martin, and Temeshia Martin Moore (Shumette) of Stockton, CA and Sherian Martin of Los Angeles, CA. His cousins that were raised as his siblings Charlie Robinson, Sr of College Station, TX and LaKisha Robinson of Stockton CA. His god children, Inequa Burrell and Thaddeus Dunham. His godsister, Darlene Bonner.

A host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunties, cousins, friends and his God’s Throne family.

A visitation for David will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary, 809 N California St, Stockton, California 95202. A funeral service will occur Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM at God's Throne Baptist Church, 405 E Lindsay St, Stockton, California 95202. A graveside service will occur Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Camellia Memorial Lawn, 10221 Jackson Rd, Sacramento, California 95827.
