Michael James Lyle

father and PawPaw. Michael was born August 21, 1949, in Atlanta. He graduated from Forest Park High

School and later studied at Atlanta Technical College, Southern Crescent Technical College and Gwinnett

Hall Baptist Bible College. He served 50 years in hospital administration at Grady Hospital and Upson

Regional Medical Center. He also taught electrical systems technology at Southern Crescent Technical

College.

Michael lived his life to serve his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to take care of his family. His proudest

career accomplishments included preaching the gospel and building healthcare facilities. He enjoyed

fishing and playing catch with his dog. He expressed his desire to be remembered as someone who was

honest and trustworthy and who treated others fairly and with respect.

Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Diane Lyle; his son, Rodney Lyle (Marla) and

daughter, Renee Dixon (Dale); his greatest joys in life, his grandchildren, Blake, Brittni and Brandi Dixon;

and his mother, Marian Hirsch (Vern). He is also survived by his best friend/brother, Richard Lamar Lyle

(Melba), brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was

preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Olen Lyle.

A private interment will be followed by a Celebration of Life on November 25th at The Ole Country

Church in McDonough. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. with the service to be held

at 6:00 p.m.
