Larrika DyAnn Hill Andrews of Stockbridge, Georgia, was born August 15, 1979, to the union of Larry Eugene and Vickie Slaughter Hill.
Larrika received her formal education through Dekalb County School Public Schools. Leslie J. Steele Elementary, McNair Junior High, and Cross Keys High School. Larrika attended the University of West Georgia, Brenau University, and Clayton State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies.
Dekalb Regional Health System Inc. employed Larrika for eight years before she became disabled with end-stage renal disease brought on by Lupus. Afterward, she worked part-time for Caring Heart EMS. Due to other medical issues, Larrika had to depart her services there.
Larrika was united in holy matrimony on June 3, 2006, to Norman “Tony” Andrews. This union welcomed a beloved child, Micah David Antonio Andrews, on October 25, 2007. He was the most joyful and essential part of her life.
Larrika was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to teach, inspire, and encourage young people. Larrika had a mothering spirit that reached both young and old. Larrika was a spiritual woman and was involved in many church activities. Starting at a young age, she was involved in Sunday School, Junior Church, choirs, assistant youth director/ activities, secretary to the Bishop, and church correspondent. Larrika inspired and carried out many church programs. One of the highlights of her life was singing with her sister and being a great auntie to her niece and nephews. Larrika gained deep relationships with individuals everywhere she went: church, hospitals, medical facilities, and doctor offices. She will be greatly missed by many.
Larrika's spiritual journey started as a child in The Church of God under the Leadership of Bishop WP Howard Sr., where she received the Holy Ghost at age 13. Last Days Church of God under the leadership of Apostle David Pittman. She completed her spiritual journey at Bread of Life Covenant Ministries with Bishop Donald A. Hamm.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents (Jasper & Josephine Hill and James & Jessie Slaughter), her father (Larry E. Hill), Aunts (Gloria Davis, Phyllis Dennis, and Shari Slaughter), and one uncle (Tobby Slaughter). She leaves to cherish her memories a husband (Eld. Norman Andrews), a son, Micah Andrews, a mother (Assist. Pastor Vickie S. Hill), a sister, Erin (LC) Jackson, and a brother, Victor L. Hill, and an adopted sister Brittany Ford. Two nephews, Landen Hill and Jayden Harris (adopted), and a niece, LaiLani Hill. Her sisters-in-law are Sherlene (Tommie) Gates, Denise Baugh, LaBerta Andrew, and LaTonya (David) Shields. Very special aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Adopted mom Ernestine Rodgers-Lightford, notable neighbors Ollie & Beverly MaCoy and Tyson Dixon.
