Carolyn Faye Wheeler

Carolyn was born to John W. McDonald and Willie Ruth McDonald on May 11, 1943. After graduating from Roosevelt High School, Carolyn married Neal E. Wheeler. Together, they had three children: Bonnie (Randy), Wendy, and Neal Jr. “Eddie.” She had four grandchildren: Matthew (Jamie) Ingram, Joshua (Courtney) Ingram, Chancellor Walters and Corey (Monica) Engel. Two great grandchildren: Marlee, who is 3 and Maddox, who will be 1 on January 22nd. She had many nieces and nephews as well. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers and one sister.

Carolyn loved spending time with her family, shopping, good food, crafts, and her constant companion “Petunia”, a six-pound Chihuahua. She received Christ as her personal Saviour and was baptized at the old Antioch Baptist Church in the Lakewood area of Atlanta, GA; where she lived as a child in the Grant Park area. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Stockbridge, GA. Carolyn retired from the State of Georgia where she worked as a Senior Agent for Child Support Enforcement for many years.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Carolyn on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of her life will immediately follow the visitation in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. Pastor Glenn W. Anderson, officiating.
