Roberto Ramirez

Roberto was born in Cotulla, Texas to his parents Filiberto and Petra Ramirez on September 28, 1944.

Roberto is survived by his loving children; Joann, Robin, Yvette, Bobby, and Darrio, his cherished 15 grandchildren, his adoring 24 great-grandchildren, and one very special great-great-grandchild.

Roberto lived many years in Chicago, IL. He started his education at St. Francis Catholic school and later graduated from Cooley High School in Chicago. He would go on to take college classes at both Malcolm X college and ITT Technical Institute.

Roberto bravely served our country during the Vietnam conflict and was enlisted in the United States Army 82nd Airborne division from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1974. He was a highly decorated soldier and a proud veteran.

Roberto also loved sports, especially baseball and representing his favorite team the Chicago Cubs.

He will be deeply missed by thoses who knew him.

A visitation for Roberto will be held on Thursday, January 5th, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Aveve, Stickney, IL 60402. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4101 South Oak Park Avenue, Stickney, IL 60402. A graveside service with military honors will occur Friday, January 6th, 2023 at 12:30 PM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 West Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421.
