Maria De La Luz Gasca

Maria De La Luz Gasca, 75, of Belleville, IL passed away, May 17, 2022, with her family by her side. She was born on August 23, 1946, to parents Maria Encarnacion Carreon (Deceased 2011) and Epegmencio Delgado (Deceased 1980) in Jose Maria Morelos, Durango, Mexico. She married Jose Refugio Gasca (Deceased 2022) in 1987. Maria is survived by her daughters Melida Garcia (Antonio), Areli Ellsworth (Kelley), and grandchildren Isabel, Ashley, Natalie, Andrea, Dax, and Parker, her siblings Juan, Gabriel, Cuca, and Imelda.

Maria came to Chicago for new opportunities to better her life. She had Melida Gloria (Garcia) in 1973, then Areli Gloria in 1980 (Deceased 1983) and then Areli Gasca (Ellsworth) in 1986. She worked several different jobs and went self-employed with her husband Jose in the fruit and vegetables business. Maria was very crafty. She loved to sew, doing needle crafting, and loved gardening. She enjoyed and loved her grandchildren very much and even taught them different things.

Visitation for Maria will be held Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402.
