Amelia Fuentes

Amelia Fuentes, age 88, of Berwyn, Illinois passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020. Amelia was born July 7, 1932 in Del Rio Texas to her beloved parents Eulogio and Cristina Robles. In 1952 she married the love of her life the late, Juan Manuel Fuentes. Together they had 4 beautiful children.

She was known as a nurturer and caretaker to many. She was also referred to as “Grandmother of Lombard Avenue”. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren adored her and will forever have her in their hearts. When she wasn’t taking care of others she was cooking for others and many knew she was a fantastic cook.

Amelia is survived by her wonderful children Sylvia (Filipo) Puleo, Cristina Fuentes, Sandra (Tim) Klima, Juan Fuentes and Paige Fuentes. Beloved grandchildren Phil, Michael, Dominic, Jon, Daniel, Jacquelyn, Dimitri, Anastasia, Adoring great grandchildren Brianna, Jonathan, Niko, Mikala, Leilani, Dane, and Madelyn.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Juan Manuel Fuentes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Leonard's Catholic Church, 3318 Clarence Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402,follwed by the entombment at Mount Auburn Cemetery 4101 S. Oak Park, Ave, Stickney, IL 60402.
