Rev. Dr. Thomas Frank Hastings Jr.

He was born July 5, 1928, in Buffalo, New York, and was the son of the late Blanche Stewart Hastings and Thomas Frank Hastings, Sr. He was a Baptist minister and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Paul, and a brother, Arthur Hastings.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Katherine Griffith Hastings; five children, Thomas F. (Sue) Hastings III of Virginia, Kathy (Bob) Gates of Oldsmar, Florida, Becky (Leo) Governale of Statesville, John (Lisa) Hastings of Tampa, Florida, and Paul (Barb) Hastings of Houston, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial service celebrating Tom's life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, June 19, 2015, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.

The family will speak with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
