Stanley Allen Thompson

Mr. Stanley Allen Thompson, of Statesville, NC, died on March 18, 2019. He was born on September 29, 1939 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Ethel and Roland Thompson. In addition to his parents, his wife, Patricia Thompson, who he married on October 9, 1975, preceded him in death. Three brothers, three sisters, one son and a grandson also preceded him in death. He was a veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his children, Steve Thompson (Beverly) of Glen Burnie, MD, Julia Wagner (Jim) of Baltimore, MD, Debbie Kaya (Sam) of Brooklyn, NY, David Thompson (Donna) of Manchester, MD, Peggy Stonesifer (Roy) of Manchester, MD and by four stepdaughters, all of Statesville, NC, Sandy Morrison (Sam), Debbie Isenhour (Paul), Brenda Waugh (Butch), and Diana Johnson (Jimmy). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, prior to the service, at the Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the Iredell County Veterans Burial Detail.
