She graduated from Cool Spring High School and worked part time at the Iredell County Tax Office. She was a member of the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Statesville. She volunteered in the church office and served as a Deacon. She was a member of both the Women’s Ministries and the Marshburn Bible Class.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, Paul D. Reavis, Sr; brothers, Thomas Waugh and William Waugh; and sisters, Dorothy A. Jordan, and Lucille W. Morrison.
She is survived by her children, Paul D. Reavis, Jr. of Statesville, and Kathy B. Reavis (John C. Smith) of Williamston, SC; granddaughters, Kari C. Wilhelm (Craig) of Williamston, SC, and Kathryn L. Jones (Phil) of Easley, SC; and great granddaughter, Piper Jones.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Charles Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
