Mary Poole Proctor

Born May 22, 1933 in Wilkes County, she was the daughter of the late John and Josie Baity.

Mrs. Proctor worked for Woolworth Department Store for many years and was a member of Broad Street Church of Christ.

Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for her bright smile and was an avid lover of interior design, always making her home a perfect place for family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, William Baity, Zula Campbell, Fred Baity, Dora Bell Billings, Virgil Baity and Emyline Motes and one grandson, Shaun McBrayer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Billy Bob Proctor; son, Garry Poole (Diane) of Winston-Salem; daughter, Patricia McBrayer (Dennis) of Advance; five grandchildren, Darren McBrayer, Randy McBrayer, Tony McBrayer, Gregory Poole (Sarah) and Meredith Poole; one great-grandson, Yates Poole, one sister, Lois Gibson and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home on Monday, May 18, 2015 from 1:00 Pm – 2:00 PM.

The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home with Steve Short officiating. Entombment will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
