Margie Campbell Swiggett, 97, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Mooresville, North Carolina. She was born on November 5, 1927, in Alexander County to Melvin Campbell and Frances Kerley Campbell.
Margie was a member of Prospect Presbyterian Church in Mooresville. She worked in catering and also in the textile industry, retiring from Templon Spinning Mill in Mooresville.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Oscar (Butch) Bradshaw in 1981, and her second husband, William O’Neil Swiggett in 1998; parents; 12 brothers and sisters; and stepdaughters, Sarah Jackson, Louise Markle, Mary Lynn Swiggett, and Barbara Knox.
Margie is survived by step-grandchildren, Elaine Boyles, Eddie Jackson, Robert Knox, and Lori Wallace; her step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Prospect Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mooresville. Pastor Will Gipe will officiate.
Donations may be made in Margie’s memory to Hospice of Iredell County or to Prospect Presbyterian Church.
