Lucille Naomi Brown, 99, of Statesville, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Jurney's Assisted Living Facility. She was born on December 21, 1923, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to Thad Noble and Ila Willard Brendle.
Lucille was predeceased by her parents; husband, Fred Taylor Brown, Sr.; her brother, Clell Brendle; and sister-in-laws, Betty Brendle and Marie Brendle.
She is survived by her sons, Fred Taylor Brown, Jr., Richard Wayne Brown (Karen), Keith Brendle Brown (Robin); grandchildren, Thad Taylor Brown (Kathryn), Richard Scott Brown (Casey), and Crystal Ann (Jeff); great grandchildren, Weston, Marilyn, Camden, Dylan, Davis, Duncan, and Briggs; brothers, Paul Brendle (Shirley), and Jim Brendle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lucille was a very thoughtful, kind, and loving person who was always so good to her family and friends, may God bless her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00, with the memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m., Ken Sides will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
