Mrs. Linda Carol Brown Bradbury, 63, of 127 Crooked Lane, Statesville, died Wednesday September 12, 2012 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Mercer County, West Virginia on February 2, 1949, she was a daughter of the late David Brown and Marie Hall Brown. She worked at Carolina Mills and enjoyed cooking, reading and most of all, her family. On September 5, 1964, she married Mr. Fredrick Lee Bradbury who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Janet B. Waronsky and her husband, Roy of Charlotte, three brohers, Melvin (Butch) Brown and Johnny Brown and his wife, Pat all of Troutman and Terry Brown and his wife, Jewel of Ansonville, a sister, Virginia Proffit and her husband, R. C. of Catawba, N.C. and a very special friend, Debbie Harris.
Services celebrating Linda's life will be conducted at 11:00 Saturday at the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be: Bobby Bradberry, Kenny Bradberry, John John Brown, Greg Proffit, Dan McLelland and Johnny Ireland. The family will assemble at the residence and will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 Friday evening (this evening) at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
