Born on November 8, 1932 in Yadkin County; she was the daughter to the late Sanford “Buck” and Emma Sipes Gentle. Mrs. Frye was a long time member of Broad Street Church of Christ, where she was head of funeral meal prep. She enjoyed preparing and organizing food for members and their families. Mrs. Frye treasured and positively impacted many youth of Iredell County when she was the Daycare Director at Ebenezer. She was a loving and compassionate wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brother, J.W. Gentle and sister, Marie (Clyde) Dagenhart.
Left to cherish her precious memory is her husband of 63 years, Harry Frye; children, Janeal (Jerry) Gross, Keith (Kathy) Frye and Tracy (Mike) Strickland; grandchildren, Emily Frye, Kelly and Kasie Strickland; sister-in-law’s, Denie Gentle and Carolyn Teague; brother-in-law, Paul Frye; special niece, Diana Dagenhart and other loving family members.
A celebration of Mrs. Frye’s life will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2pm at Broad Street Church of Christ with Dave Wood officiating. Burial will be private at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
The family will gather and receive friends from 1:30-2pm prior to the service in the Annex.
