Emmett Paul Prather

Mr. Emmett Paul Prather, age 90, died Monday at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and had lived in Brooklet for the last five years. Mr. Prather retired in 1983 from Delta Air Lines as a senior material planner. He enjoyed working in his garden and working with stained glass. Mr. Prather was preceded in death by his wife, Martha D. Prather.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dale Nevius of Brooklet; his son and daughter-in-law, Paul "Bud" and Kim Prather of Grantville, Ga.; four grandchildren, Kyle Reese Prather, Gregory Thomas Nevius, David Scott Nevius and Crystal Michaela Nevius.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Rev. Wes Moye officiating.

The graveside service and burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia.
