Ms. Bonnie Cox, age 90, passed away late Friday at the Azalea Health & Rehab Center in Metter. She was born in Sioux City, Iowa and lived many years in California and Colorado before moving to Statesboro in 1995. Ms. Cox enjoyed sewing, decorating cakes, making jewelry. She was a member of Grace Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Cox, her daughter, Char Cox, her grandson, Cody Tripp, her brother, Clessie Armstrong, and her sister, Charlotte Rawles.
Survivors include one son, Tim (Marylou) Ullon of San Rafael, California; her daughter, Traci (Bubba) Brockman of Statesboro; six grandchildren, Toby (Jessica) Ullon, Becky (John) Walker, Dino Brockman, Tyler “Dugan” Tripp, Brittany Brockman, and Kylie Brockman; and great grandchildren, Tanner Ullon, Taylor and Hunter Odom, and Rayna Brockman.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Grace Community Church with Rev. Mike Holt officiating.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
Interment will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
