William J. Bonner

September 14, 1936 - November 15, 2023, 87 years old

William Joseph Bonner passed away peacefully at home with his devoted wife and family by his side on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. William, a son of the late Charles Bonner and Sarah Anderson, and lone sibling to the late Eileen Jones grew up in Brooklyn, NY.

William’s almost fifty- year career as a butcher, primarily as a “floating” meat dept Manager, in NY and NJ was spent mostly in the employ of A&P Supermarkets.

He married Eileen Boyce, The love of his life, on November 7, 1964. They recently celebrated their 59th year of selfless devotion to each other and their family.

Loving father to Gerard Bonner and Eileen Mangan, and the late William Jr. and Elizabeth. Father-in-law to David Mangan.

Cherished Grandpa ”Bull” to William Mangan, Michael Bonner, Christopher Bonner and Aidan Mangan. Loving Uncle to Mary Hanson, Bob Threlkeld and Debbie Threlkeld and loyal co-worker to many. Bill was a proud dedicated servant of God at Blessed Sacrament Church fulfilling many roles over the years including Usher, Treasurer for the St. Vincent’s De Paul Society, and a member of the Holy Name Society for many years. He loved nothing more than spending time with family and friends, traveling and dining out. He will be sorely missed by all but always remembered for the genuine goodness he radiated throughout his exemplary life. May God bless him and give him rest.
