A sweet soul with an ever-welcoming smile, Tommy brought warmth and joy to everyone he met. He grew up in Staten Island, attending P.S. 22, and spent his youth as an avid bowler. He was a cherished member of Community Resources on Staten Island, where he formed countless friendships and enthusiastically participated in plays, showcasing his love of singing and dancing. Tommy particularly delighted in impersonating Elvis Presley, a favorite performance that brought smiles and laughter to those around him.
Tommy was a faithful parishioner of St. Teresa Church, where he shared his love of music by singing hymns from the choir by himself to the delight of his fellow parishioners during the 9 AM Sunday Mass.
Tommy had an incredible ability to connect with people, delighting in the company of family, friends, and even strangers. He had a special fondness for babies and animals, and his kindness extended to everyone he encountered. Tommy found joy in life’s simple pleasures—watching his favorite TV shows like I Love Lucy, Hazel, The Price Is Right, and his all-time favorite movie, The Wizard of Oz.
Tommy is survived by his devoted mother, Patricia, and his loving siblings: Donna Deane, John, and James, his sister-in-law, Denise Corrigan Dunne, and brother-in-law, Edmond Deane. Tommy was a proud uncle to his nieces Lauren, Megan, and Emily, their spouses Michael, Bohdon, and Winston, and his nephew Patrick and his wife Kaylee. He also cherished his grand-nephew Bryce and grand-niece Ava, as well as the many extended family members who brought joy to his life.
Tommy’s zest for life, vibrant personality, and the love he radiated will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He truly had a positive impact on everyone he met, and his absence will be deeply felt by family and friends alike.
