Sam Zavattieri, 69, of Meiers Corners, Staten Island, N.Y., died March 10, 2016. Visitation is Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. at Casey Funeral Home. Funeral is Monday at 10:45 a.m. at St. Teresa's Church. Sam graduated from High School of Fashion Industry in Manhattan. He was an MTA track worker for 30 years, retiring five years ago. He enjoyed country music and oldies, Atlantic City trips, spending time with family and friends, wrestling and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Concetta (nee Mondi); children, Jennifer, Brenda, David (Frances); and brother, Robert (Tina). He was a loving uncle. Sam was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Lola; brother, Anthony; and sister, Angela Noce.
