Salvatore Gatto, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend left this world on September 23, 2021.
SaI was born in Gioiosa Ionica, Italy on June 20, 1942. He grew up in a small town with his 10 brothers and sisters and after meeting and marrying his love, Maria they immigrated to the United States in 1967.
Always resourceful, Salvatore began working as a dishwasher, then a welder, and eventually owns his own business, Rinascente Iron Works.
Sal loved working in his garden and spending time with his four daughters, 15 grand children and watching Soccer every Sunday. Forza Juve! There wasn’t anything that he could not fix, a true MacGyver, a jack of all trades. Always ready to share his knowledge and wisdom there was an infinite amount of information to be learned from Nonno. A true friend to all, you could always count on Sal always wanting to help anyone in need.
