Michael Marvin Runer

Michael Runer, age 45, of Williamsburg Brooklyn, New York formerly of Dongan Hills SINY passed away on Tuesday October 30, 2018. Michael was born January 20, 1973. Michael was a graduate of New Dorp High School and Five Towns College . Michael worked as a freelance cameraman for TV and other venues . He met many interesting personalities and his family enjoyed his many stories . A gifted musician he composed and performed in many SI bands . He was an extremely unique , talented , funny , creative spirit that will be missed by so many. Beloved son of Joan and the late Verne Runer . Caring brother of Susan Runer , loving boyfriend of Pilar Rau. Loving uncle to Kristen , Richard , and Evan Starkweather. Caring friend to so many , that to Mike were like family .

Mike loved and cared for his pets Sam and Ninja and the late Pal .

A Visitation for Michael will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Virginia Funeral Chapel, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314. A Visitationwill occur Friday, November 2, 2018 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 350 Slosson Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314. A Funeral mass will occur Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Ann's Church, Cromwell Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305. A cremation will occur Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM.
