My mother Marie was a good friend of Connie for many years.Because of that friendship I also enjoyed her company at many of the birthday gatherings.She was a wonderful lady who is sorely missed.Our sincere condolences to her family.

I was in Florida at the time of Connie's death...we lived on the other corner of Driggs Street for 50 years now...When we first moved in, I remember when my husband Tony would pull up to the side of my house and talk with Leo...he also put in the front porch as my husband was a contractor....always great neighbors....

Today we said our final goodbye. I'm sorry I wasn't a better granddaughter I'm sorry I wasn't always there. I hope you knew how much were and will always be loved. I will always remember our walks to tumenellos going to the womens club going to the movies sleep overs at grandmas watching those bums Yankees in the dining room Nina nah to go to sleep and hey Theresa baby when I called on the phone. Goodnight grandma. I love you.

Concetta (Connie) Cacciamani (Zarro) was born in the Bronx on 10/26/27,  had two brothers Freddie and Sam.
She worked for Army Air Core in Miller’s field Staten Island during and after the war, where she met and ultimately married her husband Leo Cacciamani (1920-1994).
During  their long and happy marriage , they settled in Great Kills , she worked alongside her husband in their business: Cacciamani Brother’s Rigging , and they raised their three sons : Gary, Steve, and Scott.

Connie was a long-standing member of the Great Kills Woman’s Club, she worked for Staten Island Community Board and volunteered for many organizations.
 
She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for family and guests especially during the holidays .  

She is loved and will be missed by her sons and their families including her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
