Christopher Cagiao, 54, passed away on Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, in his home in Greenboro, N.C., where he lived for the last 10 years. Chris was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to Staten Island at age 4. He attended Port Richmond High School. He worked as a mason and then for himself as a private contractor. He was a hard working man who took great pride in his work. He was an avid Mets and Jets fan and a great bowler. He loved spending time with his granddaughter Kayla. He enjoyed hiking with his brother Perry in the Blue Ridge Mountains and had a passion for scenic photography. Chris was a loving family man with a great sense of humor and would go out of his way to help anyone in need. Chris is survived by his daughter, Nicole Cagiao and granddaughter, Kayla Vernon, his brothers, Frank Cagiao and Perry Cagiao, and his mother, Marie Cagiao. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Cagiao. Services are being handled by Casey Funeral Home, 350 Slosson Ave. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Our Lady of Pity Church, followed by an interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
