Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies…Proverbs 31:10. Bobbie Sue Hutchins age 86, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her residence in Stanley. Bobbie was described by her family as a good woman, a loving housewife, a wonderful loving mother, caring grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was the pinnacle of five generations.
Bobbie was the daughter of the late Vernon Tippins and Mamie Carver. She was also preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Toney; one sister: Sybil Thompson; two brothers: James Tippins and Albert Tippins.
Those left to cherish Bobbie’s memories and carry on her legacy are her daughter Sue Miller of Stanley; three sons and daughters in law: Gene and Fredia Boggs of Stanley, Charlie Toney of Stanley, Mack and Katrina Toney of Anderson, South Carolina; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; one brother: Herbert Campbell of Fair Play, South Carolina.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Carothers Funeral Home of Stanley, 412 South Main Street Stanley, North Carolina with Reverend Ritchie Doss to deliver words of comfort to her family and friends. Active pallbearers are Tiger Miller, Doug Toney, Duce Miller, Chris Bradley, Chase Carter and Tom Wooten.
Graveside and committal will follow at Evergreen cemetery in Belmont.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2016 at Carothers Funeral Home of Stanley.
