Wu-Hsiung Lin

Born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, he was the son of Liang and Lai-Fa Lin. He grew up in Kaohsiung, graduating from National Taiwan University with a degree in Political Science. Wu pursued a teaching career, instructing civics, language arts, and physical education at Chin Hua Junior High School before immigrating to the United States (U.S.). In the U.S., Wu was a small business owner before joining the U.S. Postal Service, where he retired after nearly 24 years of service.

Wu married his beloved wife in 1971, and for five decades, they exemplified their love for each other, their extended family, friends, and community. Wu and Hsiu-O devoted their time to raising their two sons and daughter, supporting them in all their endeavors. Wu loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, children and being “Ay-Gong” to his grandchildren. He enjoyed long walks, tennis, soccer, traveling, history, and singing. He was the utmost gentleman and father figure. Wu will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, quiet wit, sound advice, and devotion to family.

Wu is loved and missed by his wife of 53 years, Hsiu-O; his children Robert (Stacey) Lin of Northborough, MA, Joanne (Jeffery) Parkosewich of Shelton, CT, and Perry Lin of Arlington, VA; and his six beloved grandchildren, Zachary, Erik, Avery, Julia, Jacob, and Joshua. He is survived by his brother Tung-Hsiung and sister Li-Yu, as well as many sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, four brothers, Sei-Ru, Guo-Ru, Ming-Ru, and Hong-Ru, two sisters, Su-Yu and Bi-Yu, and grandson Sebastian.

All services will be held privately by the family.
