Wendy Greer

Wendy Gale Greer, 65, of Stamford, passed away peacefully at The Smith House on Monday, December 22, 2014. Born in Stamford on October 17, 1949, Wendy was the daughter of Audrey and the late George F. Greer. Wendy is lovingly remembered by her brother, Craig S. Greer and wife, Patricia Greer; nieces, Crysta Greer and Audra LaMonica; nephew, Ryan Greer; as well as other relatives and friends.

Wendy graduated from Rippowan High School in 1967. She was a member of the Turn of River Fire Department women’s auxiliary for many years and later established a farm life in Canton, Maine where she continued to be an active volunteer for Canton Fire and Rescue, as well as working for the state of Maine school system. She thoroughly enjoyed life on the farm raising animals and gardening. It was in 1999, she returned to Stamford due to the progression of Multiple Sclerosis. Wendy and family are eternally grateful for the support and care from the staff and nurses of The Smith House. A memorial service will be held in honor of Wendy at Turn of River Presbyterian Church, 49 Turn of River Rd, Stamford on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00am.
