Michele Tanguay Twomey, 58, died suddenly in her sleep at home in Stamford, CT on October 30, 2014. Born October 23, 1956 in Montreal, Quebec to Paul Tanguay and Huguette Simard Tanguay, Michele graduated from Brebeuf College, studied at L’Ecole du Louvre (Paris) and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (1980) and a Bachelor of Art Education (1981) from Concordia University (Montreal). Mimi was an artist, an entrepreneurial business woman and a recognized chef. She was a dedicated volunteer in Montreal and in Stamford schools. Michele leaves friends across Canada, the US, Argentina, the UK, Spain and France. Michele was the beloved wife of Sean Twomey and mother of Shannon and Christine Twomey. She was predeceased by her father Paul. She is survived by her mother Huguette, brothers Georges and Robert Tanguay, sisters Louise Tanguay and Christine Serrano Tanguay, sisters in law Sioban Manganaro, Deirdre Rhora and Creina Twomey, niece Paola Serrano, nephews Tristan Tanguay and Alex Serrano. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 1-3 pm and 5-8 pm at Gallagher’s Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Monday, November 3 at St Leo’s RC Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford, CT.
