Mollie was born in Glen Cove, Long Island to Bernard and Julia Mulligan and was the oldest of 6 children. She lived with her parents and 5 siblings in Port Washington, NY. After attending Katherine Gibbs School, she went to work as a corporate secretary. She met her husband (Thomas C. Quinn, Sr., deceased) while they were both employed by the management consulting firm Cresap, McCormick and Paget. They were married for 49 years.
Mollie and Tom first lived in Jamaica Queens, NY and enjoyed summers in a simple bungalow at the beach at Breezy Point in the Rockaways. In 1970 they moved to Stamford. They looked high and low for the perfect neighborhood to raise their 3 children. When they found St Cecilia’s and Club Road they not only purchased their dream home but also joined a welcoming community of friends and neighbors to last a life time. Later, as Mollie’s needs changed she became a resident at The Nathaniel Witherell. Final rest at Queen of Peace Cemetery was selected, with her, in part because so many wonderful friends will remain neighbors for the rest of time.
In Stamford, Mollie made her house the center for all the kids in town, many of whom remember Mrs. Quinn as their second mother who always made them feel welcomed in her home. She had a great love for family, including her extended family in Ireland to whom she wrote letters for many years to ensure that the family stayed connected, despite the distance.
During their later years Mollie and Tom were lucky enough to travel to some favorite places like Kaanapali Beach in Maui and Stone Harbor, NJ as well as some once-in-a-lifetime trips to places like Egypt, the Greek Isles and Italy.
Mollie is survived by her sons, Thomas C. Quinn, Jr. and his wife Susan, Brian Quinn and his wife Suzi and her daughter Carol Ann Miranda and her husband Joseph. She was also blessed with 8 grandchildren. (Brian, Jimmy, Maggie, Kelly, Julia, and Amanda Quinn and Kaitlyn and Alex Miranda) Additionally, Mollie was survived by two younger sisters, Julia Mulligan and Eileen Seery. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Brian Mulligan, and her sisters Patricia and Evelyn Mulligan.
Mollie will be laid to rest in a private burial at Queen of Peace Cemetery in Stamford, CT along-side her husband.

We have been extremely grateful for the wonderful care they provided to Mollie in recent years as she suffered from dementia. In her final days the team of extraordinary caregivers became even more important since we were not able to be with Mollie in the final days due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We took great comfort in the exceptional care we knew they would provide her in our absence. Mollie will be greatly missed by family and friends but her legacy and warmth will live on in the hearts of future generations of her family and friends
