Born in Stamford in 1954, she was the daughter of Richard Penfield Jr. and Ruth Michael Penfield. After high school, Anne pursued her love of animals and art. She had a popular pet-sitting business. She loved animals of all kinds, especially the many dogs she rescued from across the country. Her furbabies Angel, Pepsee, Chico, Tex, Mitzi and many others were waiting for her at the Rainbow Bridge. Anne was also a very talented artist and was especially known for the delightful greeting cards that she created for family and friends for many decades. She will be remembered for her gentle ways, forgiving spirit, quick wit, terrific sense of humor, and deep faith.
Anne is survived by three siblings and their spouses, Mary Dana White (Eddie White), Richard Penfield III (Carol Penfield), and Kathe Simons (Al Simons), and many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Richard Penfield Jr and Ruth Michael Penfield, and by her sister, Lee P. Trudeau who passed away just four months ago.
